SUCCESS DRIVEN EVENTS, CLASSES, AND WORKSHOPS:

Our FLight community engages in productions, fashion shows, art, music creation, dance, drama classes, artist development, media campaigns, showcases, corporate and community events. Our original productions are colorful stories full of hope. They educate, empower, and encourage audiences. We touch emotions that bring positive transformation while creating jobs and allowing youth and artists to be paid for their creativity while gaining valuable educational experience.

Kahleido Dance Play (All Ages)

This is our ongoing whimsical adventure about a nation of people from the Land Jomei where dreams come true. Their dreams, however, are stolen by the Master of Malice. It’s up to a pre-teen who has given up on his dreams to restore the people’s dreams. The play features dance, art, music and fashions from cultures across the world with an emphasis on black ethnicity. It offers empowering discussion and literal tools for success.

Kahlelido” Live Art Social (All Ages)

An exquisite networking experience to mingle with Arts, Education, and Entertainment professionals while enjoying live art and a brief show based on the main characters of our Kahleido Dance Play. Art pieces will be expressions of local artists who have paired with mentee artists from local public schools. These teams will select a Kahleido character that they relate to, to bring awareness through moving art and performance.

Penelope Anderson In-School Field Trip (K-8th Grade)

This is an interactive mini-production where select students read the Penelope Anderson book about Self-worth. These students are then placed in different roles of the story and are trained to act, dance or sing out certain parts of the story in front of the audience. They also serve as a guide for audience participants to be involved with the story as it is read aloud. A talk session is conducted after the reading performance and lessons from the story are discussed. This creates excitement for reading, incites creativity, builds leadership and performance skills, and high-value awareness.

Skyris Clye (PreK – 5th grade)

Surprise Character who stops in elementary schools to “Catch Students Doing Good” and give rewards. We purposely look for problem students who aren’t perfect but have intentionally put in effort to do better. Skris Clye reads books written by upcoming local authors with creative music playing in the background to various classes. Story adventure time incorporates fun fitness movements, playing with props, and passing out stickers.

Torch Awards Gala (All Ages)

A special night to highlight, appreciate, and reward amazing youth, youth advocates, and community members in our world. Awardees will be recognized for categories such as “Endless Community Support,” “Triumph over Trials,” “Silent Sacrifices,” “Incredible Heart,” “Unending Endurance,” “Difference Maker” etc.
